If you are hoping to cruise in the future, please consider this question: Why would you pay 2 to 3 times more for a Disney Cruise?
The fact is that while Disney cruises visit similar ports of call like Carnival or Royal Caribbean, Disney’s prices are always more.
For example: Some time ago I looked at a 3-day Disney and Carnival cruise to the Bahamas, sailing on April 3rd and this is what I found:
Carnival prices began at $279 per person for an inside cabin.
Disney prices began at $640 per person for the same inside cabin.
I picked another 4-day sailing for April 13th and this is what I found:
Carnival prices began at $329 per person for an inside cabin.
Disney prices began at $1,353 per person for the same inside cabin.
Tell me, why would someone pay 2 to 3 times more for the Disney cruise? The answer – the Name. Have you heard the question: What’s in a name?
The Disney name is known for fun, fun and more fun. Hence, people are willing to shell out more money to spend on a Disney cruise. Despite the difference in prices with other cruise lines, Disney cruises remain popular.
People live for the thrill of sailing with Disney characters, the friendly and exciting atmosphere and the great program activities for kids of all ages.
If you desire to book a Disney cruise, I would not stop you. In fact, I would say “Go for it!” However, I would also nudge you to consider saving on another cruise ship, heading to the same ports of call.
